This marriage initiative, 

Mad About Us Ministries was started by Doug McKinley to equip, encourage & enhance couples interested in better relationships. He is a member of Ginger Creek Community Church in the Chicago suburbs, and uses his expertise to improve and develop marriages by leading the church marriage ministry.. His purpose and mission is outlined below.

Purpose...
Mad About Us  exists to challenge couples toward a “Christ-centered, Us focused, passionately expressed marriage.”

• Having a Christ-centered marriage is to realize that marriage is a relationship designed to honor God.  As we love each other,  we recognize that it reflects our desire to love God through our spouses.
• An Us focused marriage is based on the awareness that we are to honor our marriage by loving the relationship.  This focus creates the opportunity to engage in deep intimacy, live harmoniously, and love effectively.
• Passionate expressions reflect a relationship that values joy, hope, and love.  A fully expressed relationship welcomes the good, bad, and ugly of marriage and discovers way to live through the realities with grace and compassion.

Mission…
The Mad About Us project is designed to provide learning and experiences for couples to develop their marriage relationship. 

Learning will be encouraged through the writing of books, conducting seminars, and coaching.  Experiences will be encouraged through books, web based forums, and marriage mentoring relationships.  This ministry exits to promote life-long, Christ-centered, relationship based marriages.
